Accessibility - Facilities

  • Automatic door at the main ramp entrance in the front of the building.

  • Automatic door for the accessible restroom on the main floor of the building.

  • Designated accessible parking spaces in the front street parking and in rear parking lot. 

  • Ramp entrance available for the children's room. Located near the far back corner of the parking lot. 

  • Lift access from the main floor to the 3rd floor of the building.

  • Accessible book return (book drop) is located next to the library's parking lot.

Things to note

  • There is no lift or elevator access between the main floor and the children's room in the basement. 

  • The lift to access the 3rd floor of the building is only available from the main floor.

  • The accessible restroom for the children's floor does not have an automatic door.

Print Disabilities or Visual Impairment

  • Assistance in signing up for the Talking Book and Braille Library (TBBL) service.

  • Adult Large-Print Book Collection.

  • Children's and Adult audiobook CD collection.

  • Availability of one Merlin LCD – Desktop Electronic Magnifier for Low Vision. The Merlin machine can be used to help those with low vision to read and write.

  • Large magnifying sheets for in-house use only.

  • Smaller magnifying sheets on the Large Print shelves that patrons can take & keep.

  • Directional Entrance Sign located at the rear of the building

  • Directional Entrance Sign located near the front entrance of the building
